Once upon a wine bottle, two young women were sitting sipping their glasses of wine on a balcony overlooking Jerusalem. They thought to themselves, why not get together with others, meet new people, and drink good wine?

 

As both of them also liked to do good things, they thought it would be a great idea to fundraise for small, local grassroots organizations at the event as well. Flashforward a couple years and the two women were sitting at a cafe in Tel Aviv and came up with Wine Wednesday with the goal to bring together Israeli and international young professionals to socialize over wine, while raising money and awareness for important grassroots projects in Israel.

 

The first Wine Wednesday took place in January 2013 at Moishe House. Since then, we've raised thousands of shekels for over 20 different organizations and brought hundreds of olim and native Israelis together over "many" bottles of good wine tasting! Wine Wednesday is 100% volunteer run and all proceeds go direct to charity. We're always looking for new faces to come and help out. Come join our team!
